We all know, at least we coffee addicts, how it is important for us not to be separated from our favourite liquid, not even during travelling times. That is the fact enough why it is important to have at least one coffee mug in your property and why it is important to choose it wisely.

You would say that there is nothing important to know when you go out to buy a travel coffee mug. But you are wrong. There are few important things to know when choosing the mug. Therefore here are the few tips on how to choose wisely and how to choose the best travel coffee mug for you.

1. First important thing is the seal of the coffee mug. There are two types of them, namely twist seals and push down seals. And the seal has to be good because it performs the main function on the mug by preventing spills or leaks from the mug and what is more important, the seal is the one in charge of keeping the liquid hot all the time. Twist type seal works almost like a jar seal, but with the locking device set inside the mug, which keeps the lid locked in place. While push down seal has a protruding insert which fits perfectly into the top of the mug.
2. The second thing to pay attention to, and even more important thing, critically important thing, is the base of the coffee mug. Why is it critically important? Well it does add to the aesthetics of the mug, but more important it gives the stability of the mug and it impacts how the mug will fit into the cup holder of your car.
3. Drinking spout or a sipper – is also important. They come in numerous forms and designs and you can choose from slide panels and screw panels via flip-up  leavers, all the way to the straw configurations. But what you have to take care of is that when you close the sipper back, it must not allow the liquid to leak if a mug tips to the side or overturn.  Neither it may allow the liquid to cool .Therefore keep it closed when you do not drink your coffee.
4. Insulation of the coffee mug is very important. The insulation of the mug keeps the warmth of the liquid inside and does not allow the outer layer of the mug to be heated, therefore you may hold the mug with hot liquid freely in your hands. It also prevents the water condensation on the side of the mug, therefore no wet rings on the surfaces after the mug is placed somewhere.
5. Maybe you didn´t know, but the handle of the coffee mug is also important and mugs come with either loop handles or open handles and both types are useful, depending on where you want to put your mug to. Do you want to hang it upon some branch or attach it to the outside of your backpack, it is your choice which types of mugs and handles you prefer.
